Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of youthful heartache earned her widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift's love for music started in the early years of her life. From children's plays to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. She was age 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and in the next year, she took up guitar and began writing songs. Taking her inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original music that was a reflection of her experience of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift's parents moved her to Tennessee when she was 13 when they decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm. It gave Swift to spend more time trying to find labels that would promote traditional music from Nashville.
