Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, best well-known for his part in the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. At the age of 18, he began to pursue a passion for acting. At his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. He has been in TV and films, however the small screen characters that brought him fame and an extensive following. He's been able seamlessly play the roles of characters on both sides of the law and grab the audience's attention. He was the character of the serial killer on his first television project and later played the role an NYPD detective. For his work on the small screen, he's been up for nomination several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. He is known for his blue-piercing eyes, which have become an iconic feature and have helped to portray tough characters with charisma. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
